There are many dreadful and horror stories about Affiliate Programs and Networks. Some of them which people have never heard of and some which is open to only high rated and top class publishers.There are very few companies which are open to all publishers and bloggers like me. Before all these let me warn you all about some fraud and unworthy,pyramid type of scams. And please don’t join all these sites and realize late that you are scammed and lose thousands of dollars which you were about to get.

Ok. Why participate in an affiliate program?

Well, In an affiliate business, you are you own boss and you can work part time or any other convenient times. And in affiliate marketing, you wont have to ship stuff and write a long report or anything like that. Just get the users to buy the advertiser’s products. And you get the cash rolling in. You own your own small residual income earning business.Before joining any program, just check whether you are capable of continuing with the company.

Here are some tips on which Affiliate Program to promote:

1. Let the program be of your personal interest and see whether if you were in the buyers place, you would buy it? In words, Promote a program which interests you.

2. Look for the standard of the program and see whether there are many people who review about these stuff which you will be promoting.

3. Join the ones which offer real and legit products. If it is a digital product, see whether the seller has rights to sell the products. Also see some customer and affiliate testimonials and if possible take their reviews.

4. See whether the product has a good market in the future so that you dont lose later and continue it.

5. Check the minimum requirements of the advertiser before you join. Dont lose your hard earned cash if they terminate you overnight.

6. Also see whether there are many tools and resources offered by the advertiser to promote the product so that you wont have to spend time on preparing an AD.

7. Verify the help and support given to you by the advertisers. Also see whether they offer any incentives to new members and renewals.

8. Always clear your doubts about the product in forums and discussions with thousands of other aspiring affiliates.
